Utilizing polyvagal theory, somatic discharge, and neuroplasticity to safely unlatch subcortical locks. Reframing severe anxiety and freeze responses not as diagnostic defects, but as highly technical, protective scripts executed by an overtaxed operating system.

Nature & Animal Wisdom
of Neuro Emergent Therapy

Establishing nature as an intentional, macroscopic classroom for managing chronic stress. By looking into the 'animal mirror,' readers see how wildlife lives in unapologetic alignment with its baseline design, serving as a bottom-up structural blueprint for human down-regulation.

Hi, I am Peggy

Welcome to a
Safe Harbor

Welcome. I am Dr. Peggy Philips, and my mission is to provide an informative, welcoming place of knowledge and encouragement for those navigating chronic stress, burnout, and trauma loops. My work centers on a deep blend of clinical experience and holistic body-based processing. As an international instructor specializing in restorative and Ayurveda yoga, I look at emotional and nervous system regulation from a comprehensive, bottom-up perspective. Whether you are trying to break free from performance-driven burnout, healing from inherited ancestral trauma networks, or seeking a safe space to reconnect with your body and faith, you are in the right place. You are not broken—your body is simply trying to protect you. Together, we can map out your path back to an unshakeable baseline of calm.

If you are navigating chronic stress, high-pressure burnout, or the painful loops of trauma, you have found the right place to explore a new way forward.

For nearly two decades, I managed high-stakes psychological interventions on the front lines—from acute crisis triage alongside first responders to leading clinical teams in intensive psychiatric hospitals and forensic facilities. Through those trenches, I saw firsthand how traditional top-down methods often fail when a body is trapped in survival mode. That frontline experience is exactly why I researched, developed, and copyrighted Neuro Emergent Therapy (NET) ©. This framework doesn't view human design like a machine or a list of defects. Instead, my published literature outlines a bottom-up approach to safely understanding autonomic nervous system distress, clearing trapped trauma loops, and translating these neuro-somatic release points into advanced spatial architectures—serving as Somatic Lighthouses across both physical and digital realms.

My perspective on healing, technology, and storytelling is deeply shaped by my dual heritage as a CHamoru (Guam) individual and person of English descent. Walking in both worlds has inspired my current focus as a cohort in immersive media studies at the University of Oregon. Here, I am developing a flagship Web XR capstone to deliver neuro-somatic modalities directly into digital spaces, building immersive environments that anchor the nervous system. This intersection of indigenous somatic wisdom, clinical science, and immersive tech forms the heart of my research and serves as the foundation for upcoming applications for indigenous grants, aimed at expanding accessible, spatially anchored healing frameworks for diverse communities.

My broader multifaceted career spans behavior science, holistic wellness, and global media strategy. My foundation includes a PhD in Counseling Psychology and more than 25 years of studying theology, complemented by global training in restorative and Ayurvedic body-based traditions. As an external strategist, I have developed internal and global communication campaigns for elite clients including Microsoft, Nike, Stanford Engineering, and the US government. I am also an award-winning independent film producer and television creator for ABC and FOX networks.

I create books, films, and Web XR projects that strip the clinical stuffiness from personal growth. By blending neurobiology, animal wisdom, and sound theology, my work invites audiences to drop their performative masks, honor their bodies, and find a path back to lasting, physical peace within the spaces they inhabit.

And Ollie...

is a character inspired by my great-grandmother, who collected owls. The character embodies the spirit of a painted barn owl lamp that once stood watch on her nightstand—shining bright enough to alert, yet dim enough for rest.

Beneath the Surface: The Lighthouse Project

The Furry, Fluffy, and Feathery Chronicles

Trauma, chronic stress, and exhaustion do not always look like hiding away from the world. Often, it looks like incredible efficiency, a packed schedule, and a flawless public face. But underneath that high-functioning exterior is a physical nervous system running on emergency backup power.
In this gentle, evidence-based 12-week guide, Dr. Peggy Philips bridges the gap between cutting-edge neuroscience, ancient Scripture, and timeless lessons from the animal kingdom to offer a judgment-free roadmap to peace. Your physical shake is not a spiritual failure or a personal flaw—it is a brilliant physiological reflex that simply got stuck in overdrive after bracing for impact for too long. You do not need another lecture on how to work harder or be stronger. You need to teach your hyperactive brain how to rest.
Divided into three comprehensive phases, this journey takes you systematically through the anatomy of your internal stress loops:
